auXala - Desktop Requirements
(formerly known as CAST)
Windows: Run lineapp-cast-1.1.0.exe and follow on-screen instructions.
After starting the application, a profile setup window will appear and you will be asked to enter the following information:
NOTE: To finish the setup, you must provide a valid booking code (licence). See section 4.), to get more informations.
All receiver devices have to download auXala receiver software, which is available for free from the iOS and Android App stores.
To receive the auXala stream, all devices must join the same WiFi network as the transmitter.
As soon as auXala application is started, all available streams will pop up on the screen, which can be individually chosen by just one click.
auXala licences can be purchased at firstname.lastname@example.org and are required to run the transmitter software. After the purchase, you will receive a booking confirmation containing the booking code. To activate your licence, follow these steps:
NOTE: To activate your licence, the desktop must have a working internet connection and unrestricted access to https://booking.lineapp.pro. Please make sure the desktop system is able to make HTTP calls to the above URL – you may have to disable your firewall or proxy server before the activation process. The desktop app won’t be useable until the licence activation was successful.
The computer running the application must be connected to the same IP network, either via Ethernet cable or WiFi. Please see our network requirements to get more informations.
NOTE: Changing the network settings while the application is running might result in unexpected behaviour. To avoid this, please change the settings beforehand or restart the application after the changes have been made.
The application will use the default input and output settings of the computer. Make sure these are configured correctly and will receive/transmit audio.
NOTE: Changing the audio settings while the application is running might result in unexpected behaviour. To avoid this, please change the settings beforehand or restart the application after the changes have been made.
We use mono full band in either 48kHz or 24kHz, 16bit HiFi quality.
Our patented network technology will adapt bandwidth usage based on the network environment. You should calculate about 12 kilobyte/sec for each stream of audio.
The auXala web interface can be accessed on the computer that is running the software by opening http://localhost:1338 in your web browser. On a remote computer or smartphone the web interface can be accessed by replacing
localhost with the IP address of the computer running the auXala software, for example http://192.168.1.3:1338.
The web interface will either prompt you with the license activation screen or, when you have activated the license already, the login screen. Enter your booking code and click activate/Login to access the dashboard.
